At Happy Tails Professional Dog Training, I believe in the power of positive reinforcement training. My classes and sessions use only rewards-based techniques to encourage dogs to learn new behaviours and cues. I believe that training should be enjoyable for both dogs and their owners, and my methods reflect this belief.

A big part of Happy Tails is about enjoying the time you have with your dog. I started Happy Tails because I wanted to provide a no judgement zone for people to enhance their existing knowledge. Classes are based around having fun and learning something new, while being in a friendly and positive social setting.

I am a fully certified and insured dog trainer, with qualifications in scentwork, dog first aid, canine body language and dog law. I am also a specialist in puppy training and gundog training. I am passionate about helping dogs and their owners, and provide excellent customer service ensuring that both dogs and their owners feel comfortable and supported throughout the training process.

As a dog trainer I know that training techniques and strategies are ever changing with new research and studies being conducted.
I believe that it is important for me to continue my learning and enhance my studies where possible. They say every day is a school day, and with dog training they're not wrong!
One big aim of mine is to help owners understand why their dog may be behaving the way they are, ways to cope and properly communicate with their dog.
Scentwork
I am a fully qualified and certified Tier 1 Scentwork UK trainer. I am currently working towards achieving my Tier 2 qualification and also looking at becoming a Trial Manager so that I can hold my own trails!
Scentwork is a brilliant sport, it is the fastest growing dog sport in the UK.
It is addictive as it really harnesses that innate behaviour within our dogs. I am yet to meet a dog that does not enjoy it. It is also incredibly inclusive as it doesn't require your dog to exert themselves physically. If your dog has a nose, then it is suited to this sport!
